Omalinga John Peter — Founder & CEO, Easy FM Global
Omalinga John Peter, professionally known as Deejay Lytz, is a Ugandan creative entrepreneur, DJ, media personality, digital creator and the founder and CEO of Easy FM Global.
His journey in media and entertainment began at a young age, developing from a passion for DJing into a broader career spanning radio, television, digital media, graphics, events and entertainment. Over the years, he has built experience not only behind the decks but also in radio programming, social media management, graphic design, content production and digital broadcasting.
Deejay Lytz began developing his DJ skills in his early years and gradually turned the passion into professional work. His journey took him through DJing at events, producing mixes, working with media and entertainment organisations, and eventually becoming involved in radio broadcasting. His experience includes working in radio and television while developing his own creative and entertainment projects.
He is also the founder of Take Over Djs Inc, an initiative created to support and develop DJs and entertainment talent, particularly within the Eastern Uganda creative community. His work has involved event entertainment, DJ training, sound and stage production, digital content and artist promotion.
Building Easy FM Global
Easy FM Global represents another stage in his media journey.
The idea behind the station comes from his experience in radio and his desire to build a platform that can connect audiences in Africa with communities around the world, particularly Africans living in the diaspora.
Rather than waiting for the resources required to establish a traditional FM station, he chose to begin digitally. Easy FM Global is being developed as an online-first international radio and entertainment platform, allowing the brand to build its audience, content and broadcasting infrastructure before potentially expanding into other forms of broadcasting.
His approach is based on starting with available resources, learning through experience and gradually building the platform.
His Media Philosophy
For Deejay Lytz, radio is more than simply playing music. He sees modern broadcasting as a combination of radio, digital content, social media, video, music, storytelling and community.
His experience with software such as Jazler, as well as Adobe creative tools, has helped him understand different sides of broadcasting—from creating station IDs, sweepers and imaging to producing graphics, editing audio and managing digital content.
Easy FM Global therefore reflects his wider vision of what a modern radio station can become: a digital media platform capable of reaching listeners beyond geographical borders.
Connecting Africa to the World
One of the central ideas behind Easy FM Global is creating a platform from Africa that can speak to an international audience.
The station aims to connect African audiences and the African diaspora while also welcoming listeners from different parts of the world. Through music, entertainment, news, culture and digital programming, the platform seeks to create a space where African stories and global entertainment can exist together.
Starting small is an important part of his story. With the cost of traditional FM broadcasting being significant, the decision to begin online allows the project to grow progressively—building an audience, developing programming and strengthening the brand before expanding further.
Beyond Easy FM Global
His wider media vision includes developing different platforms that serve different audiences while remaining connected through digital media.
Through his creative and media ventures, Deejay Lytz continues to work across radio, DJing, digital broadcasting, graphics, events, entertainment and technology.
At the centre of his work is a simple principle: start with what you have, build what you can, learn continuously and grow the vision over time.
Today, as the founder and CEO of Easy FM Global, he is working toward building a digital radio brand from Africa with an international outlook—one that can grow from a small online operation into a broader media platform with a global audience.
